Homeowner
Applications
Individuals or families who are interested
in buying a home through El Dorado Habitat for Humanity must attend our
Homeowner Application Day.
This year, El Dorado Habitat for Humanity
will be accepting applications for houses built in 2008 on August 5, 2007, from
2 to 4 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. THIS WILL BE THE ONLY TIME THIS YEAR THAT WE
WILL ACCEPT APPLICATIONS!!!! Please take
note that you or a family member must attend this Homeowner Application Day in
order to receive and application to be considered for a home.
The following Family Selection Criteria is used by El
Dorado Habitat for Humanity:
1. Need for Adequate Shelter
2. Ability to Pay for a Habitat

3. Willingness to Partner with Habitat
During the Homeowner Application Meeting, more
information about the selection process and applications will be given. Attendees will be provided an application
form at the meeting. A representative of
El Dorado Habitat will visit with each family individually about their
application and answer and questions at the
meeting.

Legal Status: If
applicant is single but has been married on the past, he or she will need to
show legal separation or divorce papers.
3.
Proof of Identification: All applicants will need to show a valid
proof of identification which has a picture on it such as a valid driver’s
license.
4.
Current Landlord Information: Name, address and phone
number.
5.
Your previous Address:
Including the number of years you lived
there.
6.
Employer Information on all applicants: Name, address, phone number and supervisor’s
name.
7.
Current Pay Stub and/or Other Proof of Income: Including total for each pay period for every
working member of the household.
8.
Other Income Information: Includes all sources if income (e.g. child
support): include name, address, and
phone number of person or agency supplying the
income.
9.
W-2’s for all working members of the household for last
year.
10. Debts:
People, companies or any agency you may owe money to, including names,
addresses and how much you owe and pay each month.
11. Other Monthly Bills: Amount of monthly utility bills, car and
insurance payments, rent and other monthly
expenses.
12. Bank Account: Address and account number of accounts if
any.
13. Credit Report: A copy of the credit report for all
applicants.
14. References: A list of five people you can use for a
reference. Include name, address, and
current phone number.
It is very important for our Family Selection Committee to have these documents in order to process your application. Failure to supply these documents by August 14th will result in your application not being considered for the 2007 build cycle. All documents given to El Dorado Habitat for Humanity will be kept confidential.
